Berwick Day Trip

by Tomi Nihtila

Edinburgh – North Berwick – Dunbar – Berwick-upon-Tweed – St Abbs – Edinburgh. Photos and brief itinerary.

This was a brief day tip by car from Edinburgh to Berwick-upon-Tweed with brief stops at North Berwick, Dunbar, and St Abbs.

North Berwick

First stop, mostly to visit Bostock Bakery to get some snacks and proper bread.

As can be seen here and in following photos, tide was very low!

Quick stop at Dunbar before heading towards Berwick.

Visit at The Mule on Rouge vinyl cafe, The Barrels ale house and The Curfew micropub, strolling about the three bridges and town walls. Tide was very low, there was even a seal on a dry spot near the bridges.

St Abbs

Brief stop at St Abbs’ Coldingham Priory and shore on our way back to Edinburgh.
